Summer #1 Work Diary

Within this shoot I was in Tunisia so I took the opportunity to take pictures of whatever I could with aspects in mind, however it didn't really link to my previous work diary intentions. In this shoot I went to a coast on a really hot day and took pictures of the sunny atmosphere, from this I got the idea to make the aspect of the shoot Summer as within each picture it was clear I was in a hot place, with images of the calm sea and a bright blue sky, making everything in its lining bright. I really enjoyed this shoot as I didn't have to plan for this shoot and it was almost like exploring as I had never been to this part before so it was really nice to see new things.

In this image i saw an old scoter sitting very close to the edge of the coast, almost as if it was looking out onto it. I thought this was a very mice effect as you can see the scooter is rustic which makes it looks old which suggests i am in an ageing landscape. I kept the colour in the image as I thought it looked very pretty even though it mean this image had limited editing, i turned the exposure up on this slightly so the colours were brighter and enforced the aspect of Summer. I zoomed in on this image so the scooter was large and almost like a focal point as it is a bit random to be sitting there which I like. The dryness of the coast below suggests it is a really hot summery place as it makes it look like the sun has dried out all the grass.

In this image I took a picture of the top of the palm trees, this is a key element within hot places and due to how they branch out you can tell they are healthy because the are getting a lot of sunlight. In this image I turned up the curves so the blue was very light, I wish there wasn't clouds in this image as I think it would produce more of a pure heat/summer aspect to this image. The reason i chose to only take a picture of the top of the palm trees and why I zoomed in was because I didn't want people walking around in my shot and I didn't want them distracting the image.

Progression

In my next shoot I think i am going to do the collessium shoot of Tunisia which I actually intended to be the shoot I did before this one, the aspect of this shoot will be decays as the colleseum is all rotting away. There is not big link between this shoot and my next one, I am purely taking advantage of the surroundings I am in.
